Process Improvement - Hands on, onsite work in a state of the art production facility to develop new ways of working and improve output from current equipment. Working with both original manufacturers and specialist experts to maximise production output and minimise system variation.Material Evaluation - Developing material specifications for production specific applications and establishing means of site based testing. Working with material suppliers to improve our use of the existing components and trialling new product lines.Project Management - Coordinating projects conducted between MX Group and partnered university experts. Continuing to maximise MXs use of expertise and bring the benefit to production.

Materials Analysis - Analysis of existing materials and potential new materials. Has involved talking to materials suppliers and defining material specifications. Involves use of reactive chemicals and fine powders.Materials Development - Modifying existing materials to improve performance and cost effectiveness. Involves testing materials and increased scale tests to confirm applicability in full scale production.Technical Development - Extensive work in factory setting improving the processes and modification of existing procedures. Use of evidence based approach to improve production.Process Control - Development and implementation of new testing regimes to ensure product quality and material bench marking. Enabling accurate testing of existing materials, testing methods for new materials and confirmation of success/failure with material modifications.After closure the KTP was rated as 'Very Good' by the Innovate UK Post-Award Team
