Beat The Plastic Pollution Project Under Guinness World Record
The soul motto and the key elements of this project were to create awareness amongst the people to shun away single-use plastic. With a team of 220 volunteers. Also, National Informatics Center, Kurukshetra Administration, Kurukshetra Development Board supported this project. We collected 1 ton of plastic from schools, streets, households, cowsheds and market places. With the collected plastic waste, we made the Largest Sculpture in the shape of a Turtle. We placed this sculpture at Braham Sarovar, Kurukshetra. During International Gita Jayanti Mohatsav (24 Nov- 10 Dec) and Solar Eclipse (26 December) approx. 55 lakhs of people visited this place and received the message of Beat the plastic pollution. We also registered this sculpture under Guinness World Record.
