It was a great nine year run. I spent 20 years of my 30 year career working with the Lebanon Community School District, and I couldn’t be more proud of the time I spent there and the lifelong friends and relationships I developed during that time. The last nine of those years I had the privilege of serving as superintendent. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past nine years of service and deeply thank all of the people who contributed along the way. The list is in no particular order, but each one of these milestones meant something special to me and hopefully contributed to improving the quality of education for students in the Lebanon Community.* Watching the 4 year cohort graduation rate increase from 46 percent (2009) to a 84 percent in 2018.* Increasing AP offerings and participation from 25 students in 2009 to 495 students taking 655 classes through 14 different course offerings in 2017-18.* Increasing access to AP coursework for students of color and poverty to match the demographics of the school. Only 1% of the high schools in America have achieved this feat.* Implementing AVID K-12 districtwide to improve college acceptance and attendance rates and create college-going cultures in all schools (2013-2018).* Improving and expanding participation in the number of CTE programs offered and the number students participating in those programs (2009-2018)
