The Valley Day School, is a top suburban approved private school for students with behavioral, emotional, and/or autistic issues. Valley Day School is a comprehensive K-12 educational day program, based on a 12 acre campus in Lower Bucks County. The school provides specially-designed instruction for students between 4-21 years of age who have been identified by their IEP team as needing behavioral, emotional, and instructional support beyond what is available in a less-restrictive educational setting. Valley Day School is recognized as a leader in the application of Trauma-Informed Care and in the use of technology in special education. In my role as Executive Director, I provide the Board of Directors and the staff of Valley Day School with a vision of where we are headed in compliance with the laws and missions statement of the Board. I am accountable for the daily administration of the school, supervision of the management team members and the Valley Day School staff, as well as the evaluation of all programs. I develop the preliminary budget and coordinate budget development and implementation with Board Committees. I prepare in-service workshops and develop proposals for new educational programs utilizing the review of educational research. I complete the preparation of all State, Federal, and other reports as required. I am responsible for the public relations program that attains community support. I provide leadership and vision for the continuous evaluation, development, and improvement of the school's programs to effectively support our students. I am responsible to the School Board for all staffing recommendations. I coordinate all decisions relative to philosophy, objectives, program content, and teaching techniques. I direct the marketing of our school programs and the growth or our organization.

VDS is a comprehensive K-12 educational day program, based on a 12 acre campus in Lower Bucks County. I am responsible for Coordinating, Implementing, and Evaluating matters pertaining to student activities, programming, and related services. I submit a monthly status report to the Executive Director for distribution to the Board. I Direct and Evaluate the work of the VDS Education personnel and provide leadership for continuous Development, Evaluation, and Improvement of the school's educational programs. I recruit, interview, and recommend to the Board the hiring of educational personnel. I conduct Sanctuary Model meetings with VDS educational personnel. I attend behavioral, clinical, and VDS IEP meetings. I also provide leadership regarding matters of student discipline and positive behavior supports along with intiatiing proposals for the development of innovative pilot programs.
