About Dr Rupy Kaur Roberts

I am an ambitious, focused and highly motivated Health Psychologist in Training, currently completing my Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology (Stage 2) at Liverpool John Moores University. I am presently conducting qualitative research exploring the of experience in physically disabled adult wheelchair users accessing healthcare and emergency services. I have also recently completed my first piece of consultancy, whereby I worked with individuals to reduce workplace stress, using Compassionate Mind Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques, as a behavioural change intervention. Alongside my training, I am working with MoreLife UK where I deliver specialist weight management programmes for clients who require support. Health psychology principles are embedded within my role and I deliver group behavioural change interventions based on these principles. As a disabled person, my early career revolved around representing the views of disabled people accross the UK. I follow the Social Model of Disability and strive to make the world an accessible place for all.
