I am an Assistant Professor of Plant Science at Lincoln University of Missouri, dedicated to advancing plant resilience and biofuel production through innovative research and teaching. My work focuses on the molecular pathways of jasmonates (JA) biosynthesis and signaling, with a special emphasis on enhancing plant tolerance to environmental stresses, such as heat, drought, and insect herbivory. I’m also exploring the engineering of JA pathway-specific phospholipases to increase lipid accumulation in plant leaves, contributing to sustainable biofuel production.With a Ph.D. in Plant Cell Biology from the University of Bonn, and postdoctoral research experience at the University of Missouri, I bring a strong background in hormonal crosstalk, bioinformatics, and live cell imaging to my research. My teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and graduate courses in plant science, and I am passionate about mentoring students and inspiring the next generation of plant biologists.
