1. Convene and establish partnerships with government, civil society and private sector organization working on issues around children, particularly in the area of nutrition to facilitate scale up high impact nutrition interventions, leverage resources and harmonize inputs. Assist in the development and/or introduction of new approaches, methods and practices in project management and evaluation.2. Analyze and recommend policies, strategies for comprehensive services for Women, and Children and for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness of nutrition interventions.3. Contribute to the preparation of Situation Analysis by compiling data, analyzing and evaluating information, and developing state specific programme delivery strategies that contribute to national results. Design, prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate UNICEF assisted nutirtion programme in the state of Assam. 4. Establish concurrent monitoring and reporting mechanisms on performance indicators of Government flagship programmes related to child nutrition. Provide technical advice and assistance to government officials and other partners in the planning and management of programme/project. Develop donor proposals, donor reports and other statutory reports required for programme management.5. Assist in development of appropriate communication and information strategy to support and / or advocate programme development.

Working closely with state government for improved nutrition programming in the state of Assam, with specific focus on improved governance for nutrition. The primary focus interventions being Maternal and Infant Young Child Nutrition, micro-nutrient programs (Vitamin A and Iron) and management of children with SAM, with special focus on marginalized population from tea gardens and riverine islands.

Worked in the most challenging region of India to establish and strengthen UNICEF health program in 7 North Eastern states, with the support of a team of 16 consultants. Primary focus of the work was health system strengthening in 26 high priority districts with specific focus on RMNCH+A interventions.
