My current research focus on the nanoparticles induced toxicity/responses and gene expression in the plant. During my Ph.D. (Life Sciences) I was selected by Turkish Government for a scholarship, and the selection process was channelled through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Through my selection by the Technological Research Council of Turkey, I had worked on the project entitled " In vitro culture of Digitalis and production of cardenolides" at AIBU. Subsequently, I had worked as a post-doc researcher in the Department of Bioengineering, Marmara University on "Identification of Colchicum L. species in the flora of Turkey via nuclear DNA content, morphological parameters, and association mapping". In 2013, I had joined as a post-doc fellow at the Sabanci University, Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM). Thie fellowship was financially supported by TUBITAK under the project on "In vitro selection of ssDNA aptamers and their use for the development of label-free aptamer-based biosensors for cancer diagnosis. I have extensively used the biotechnological and analytical techniques including cloning, PCR, DNA-sequencing, HPLC, GC, SEM, TEM, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy and nanoparticle characterization for my research. These are reflected in my research publications which have been published in high-impact ESI journals. I had participated in an advanced training course on "Advanced practical course in mammalian cell biology" organized by ICGEB, Italy and MAM-TUBITAK, Turkey. The training included different techniques like cell culture, western blotting. chemiluminescence, real-time PCR and siRNA techniques. I had also been trained on " Quorum sensing in plant-associated bacteria" ICGEB. Italy.
