Dr. Sara Newcomb currently serves as the Executive Director of Secondary Partnerships for Central Carolina Community College. She works with dual enrollment programs at the college and is responsible for a third of the student enrollment. Prior to joining Central Carolina Community College, she served as the Assistant Dean of the Degree Completion Program at Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Newcomb started her career in education at Gardner-Webb University in 2007 as an Enrollment Counselor, and eventually transitioned to academic advising. In 2012, she accepted a position as Advising Center Coordinator at Isothermal Community College. She found her way back to Gardner-Webb after accepting a position as Assistant Dean & Director of Academic Advising for the College of Adult Education & Distance Learning. Sara received her Bachelors of Science in Religious Studies and Masters of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University. Also, she completed her post-graduate certificate in Marketing from Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Newcomb received her Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Western Carolina University in May 2016.
