Works for poor people of remote areas of islands in Sunderbans, West Bengal, India. Particularly deals with reproductive and child health (RCH) programme, Govt. of India. Served as Doctor-In-Charge of a primary health care set up known as Comprehensive Health Project [CHP] at Rangabelia, Gosaba in the Sunderbans & various rural health camps in different islands of sunderbans. • Training of around 150 health workers every month. • Creative designing of IEC materials and training methodologies suitable for the masses. • Providing services at the “Mother and Child” camps organized monthly. • Proactively participated in Mobile Medical Units in the remotest of places. • Providing 24 X 7 hospital delivery facility [including caesarian section] at CHP, Rangabelia. • Functioned as In-Charge of a Mobile Launch Health Care Unit that provides door-to-door diagnostic as well as treatment facilities (includes as pharmacy) to the remote areas of Sunderbans.• Participated in Epidemic / Outbreak Investigation with NICED, Kolkata• Was also attached as Visiting Consultant- Gynaecology and Obstetrics

 Durbar Mahila Samanway Committee, Kolkata: Deals with the community of sex workers, STD and HIV Intervention Programme in collaboration with National Aids Control Organization (NACO). Based at Rabindra Sarani and Sonagachi Areas of North Kolkata.− Responsible for the diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections including HIV among sex workers and clients attending the centre. Providing treatment according to guidelines set by the National Aids Control Organization (NACO). Counseling sex workers. Family Planning Association India, Kolkata: Deals with reproductive health and works as per guidelines by the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Programme, Govt. of India. Served as Doctor-In-Charge of Rural Health Unit at Lalkuthi, Kolkata. − Handling the community of antenatal and postnatal mothers and their new born in collaboration with the reproductive and child health (RCH) Programme, Govt. of India.− Taking care of Immunization of mothers and children. − Family planning practices like insertion of intra-uterine contraceptive devices (IUCD), permanent sterilization including ligation and vasectomy. − Providing counseling to patients to adopt the right choice of contraception. Senior Research Fellow – National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases, Kolkata ----- for Dengue Surveillance Project under PDVI, Seoul, Korea.
