Leading technical development consultancy for an innovative virtual environment for early dementia diagnostics, being funded by the Alzheimer’s Research UK charity. Working alongside Colin Lever and James Dachtler in conjunction with the School of Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford and Leeds Trinity University.

Being responsible for devising multiple interdisciplinary collaborative research projects in the area of artificial intelligence, serious game design, search engine visualisation, dementia diagnostics, diabetes care and air pollution sensing using interactive multimedia, serious games, video, social media and mobile devices. Whilst coordinating and delivering research skills and methodologies tuition for postgraduate students and providing postdoctoral research supervision.

Management of the computing green STEM project incorporating a high degree of interactive games and multimedia, to form a successful strategy to implement sustainable computing concepts throughout the schools core taught degree programme structure, furthering the schools ecological credentials.

Responsible for coordinating the teaching of the interactive systems and game design elements of courses and developing new programmes and initiatives within this area.

Design, maintenance, development and testing of the School of Computing, Learning Resource Web and various other university websites.-Trained various staff in general web design/development with Microsoft FrontPage and DreamWeaver in addition to the use of the WebCT/Blackboard VLE through one-to-one tutelage and designing literature to support learning and teaching in addition to the development of an online assessment strategy for computing course modules -Led and participated in effective teamwork across three university departments with regular mediation between students, lecturers, technical and non-technical staff, that resulted in commendations for high quality creative work, well ahead of schedule-Regularly produced reports and performed audits to ensure system integrity -Developed an electronic student information library for student records that assisted in the efficient recognition and retrieval of student data-Developed a student module selection system using ASP to replace previous paper based version-Detailed systems analysis and design exercise undertaken to determine the viability of introducing new technology and pedagogical systems (Blackboard/WebCT) across the university and evaluated its potential impact-Provided individual training for staff to aid and optimise their use of the system-Launched an effective awareness campaign that increased use of site by 100%
