As the Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, my multifaceted role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. I am tasked with overseeing the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce development and continuing education programs, ensuring they remain relevant and beneficial to our students. Strategic planning plays a vital role in my work, as I set goals, develop strategies, and lead initiatives to enhance the college's offerings in these critical areas. Collaboration is key, as I establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, local businesses, and community organizations to understand workforce needs and secure resources for our programs. Managing faculty and staff within these departments is also part of my responsibility, including hiring, training, and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, I oversee budgeting, financial planning, and potentially engage in fundraising efforts to support our programs. Ensuring student support and success, maintaining quality standards, conducting research, representing the college in public forums, and policy development are also integral parts of my role as Dean.
