He is a Director of Blue Praxis, a scientific consulting company that provides strategic advice and professional services to governments and the private sector in the areas of sustainability, climate risk and resilience, energy transition, corporate transformation, emerging markets, and carbon economics. He is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University, and previously a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Sebastian has extensive experience working with industry, government, and NGOs in Australia and internationally to achieve organisational goals in a sustainability context. He is an environmental economist, policy scientist, and educator with expertise in sustainable business practice (organisational innovation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, carbon and energy management), and social-ecological systems (vulnerability, resilience and adaptation, marine and coastal environmental management, and participatory systems modelling). He is a Prime Minister's Australia Asia Award winner (2011) and a Wentworth Group Scholar (2013).
