About Dr. Shivananda Poojara, Phd

I am a researcher in IoT, Edge, and Cloud Computing technologies. Currently, undergoing doctoral studies at the University of Tartu on the topic "Scalable Serverless Data Pipelines for IoT applications" and meanwhile Teaching Assitant in Cloud Computing and DevOps Courses.I am working in 0.5 positions as a Junior Research Fellow in BigData. Worked on Cloud technologies that include OpenStack, AWS, SFDC, and Google Cloud. Data processing tools such as Apache NiFi, and Apache Spark. Very much interested to contribute to open source technologies, Training the students in the areas like Linux, Docker, Amazon Web Services, Google App Engine, and Aneka Cloud PaaS.My research is in the area of designing scalable data pipelines for IoT data processing, edge data analytics, and large-scale data processing in the cloud.Received a Travel Grant of $ 824 from the Linux Foundation to attend POSSE (Professors Open Source Experience) at the University of Bologna Italy.Received Workshop Grant from Google to attend POSSE (Professors Open Source Experience) at the University of Bologna Italy.Invited Talk at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5th January 2017.
