I have been a partner at Windrush GP Surgery, Banbury, since 1997. My extended roles include Quality and Outcome Framework oversight and CQC Management. A great believer in operating in Beta mode. I’ve initiated a range of progressive developments. Such as skill mixing. I also ensure all members of our primary health care team have a voice in how the practice works. In 2015 Lexacom, a digital dictation company asked if I would work for them in the capacity of a Medical Adviser.My practice is near Lexacom's Head Office and I was familiar with Lexacom's products so I agreed.In the beginning my role was to give "real time" feed back on their products.Over time my role evolved, I became involved in more projects and became their CSO.Lexacom has grown to be a major innovator and provider digital dictation.

I joined this busy town centre practice in November 1997. I have taken the lead on financial management and embrace the concept of always being on Beta Mode.Over the years I have helped the practice meet the challenges of service delivery.We have mixed our clinical floor which has helped us address the recruitment crisis.We have employed both an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and an Emergency Care Practitioner. Both roles are able to prescribe.As part of a local Primary Care Network, we now have shared Additional Roles that include a pharmacist, physiotherapist and Care Co-ordinator.As a practice we have always done well with QOF and local and national health initiatives.

I launched Minerva Clinic in 2009 as I saw a need for a medically driven aesthetic service.I was able to provide a high quality evidence based service with good customer retention.The increasing demands of primary care led me to close Minerva Clinic in April 2018. The experience has taught me many lessons that stay with me today.
