Dr Sonia Moorthy is an adult and paediatric ophthalmologist. She has a wealth of experience in the treatment of ocular diseases, including cataracts, pterygium, glaucoma and macula disorders. Her paediatric expertise encompasses management of strabismus including the use of botulinum toxin, paediatric cataract and neuro- ophthalmology.Upon fellowship completion, Dr Moorthy returned to Australia and provided adult, paediatric and indigenous eye care in Far North Queensland. She now resides on the Sunshine Coast. She strongly believes in merging the latest technological innovation with personalised, evidence based ophthalmic care. She is also committed to training the next generation of ophthalmologists and sits within the RANZCO Ophthalmic Sciences Board of Examiners and Women in Ophthalmology committee group.
