She is an author and dedicated, experienced, passionate, and award-winning leadership coach with a proven academic track- record in suburban and urban environments. Dr. Murray is a champion for equity and excellence for all students committed to a growth mindset. She has served in various leadership roles that impact positive change for systemic improvement. Skilled in Educational Leadership, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development Program Implementation, Inclusivity, Equity & Diversity Awareness, Culture Change, & Sustainability, and Public Speaking; Dr. Murray is a transformative leader with a Doctor of Philosophy in Education - Ph.D. from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. She also holds a Superintendent's License in Missouri.Dr. Sonya Murray is currently a Missouri Leadership Development Specialist with Education Plus and a former Director of School Support- Ohio at The Achievement Network. She is responsible for coaching leaders on standards alignment and best practices for organizational effectiveness and student achievement. Six of the highest growth schools were coached by Sonya at The Achievement Network, earning her a Service to Schools Award. Before leadership coaching roles, she held positions as Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Staff Development, Principal, Effective Instruction Coordinator, Reading Specialist, and Teacher.
