Enumerated the pathological problems in nurseries and plantations (TCPL programme of TNFD) of selected fast growing indigenous tree species (Ailanthus excelsa, Gmelina arborea, Melia dubia and Pongamia pinnata) in Tamil Nadu.Provided the disease management strategies in nurseries and plantations to the Tamil Nadu Forest Department officials, Tree growers and Farmers in Tamil Nadu.Studied the edaphic and climatic factors predisposing the plants to the attack of diseases. Mohan, Scientist – G & Head, Forest Protection Division, IFGTB, Coimbatore on 22.08.2013, 22.11.2013 and 10. 03. 2015 at Nilgiris district under Hill Area Development Programme (HADP), Govt. of Tamil Nadu. Recorded the growth data such as height, collar diameter, crown circumference, No. of branches and other data of Sapindus emarginatus at different field trails in Neyveli, Gudalur (Chennai), Panampally (Kerala) and Thuvarankurichi (Trichy).Vegetative propagation of Sapindus emarginatus – explants collected from Mettupalayam, Pillur and surrounding areas.Reassessment of Forest Types - ICFREActively worked in “Forest Types of India: Revisited” task force team. I collected the vegetative data’s by locating GPS point in all given 15 areas with different forest types such as Throne Umbrella Forest, Southern Euphoria Forest, Dry deciduous Forest and Moist Dry Deciduous Forest types located around Tamil Nadu Via, Salem, Dharmapuri, Hosur, Hogenakkal, Anthiyoor, Mettur, and Erode.
