At the end of the day, the question is 'What makes you happy?'. The answer for me is simple - A job which encourages work-life balance, recognizes my worth and gives me opportunity to grow overall. Getting into the healthcare industry, was nothing short of a dream. It made me realize, I was born to serve. What really excites me is the ability of a project/work/opportunity to invoke my creative as well as analytical skills. I am a person who loves to research and read about any and everything which engages my brain. I am also proud of the fact, that I tend to dedicate myself 100% to the task at hand. Therefore, I can be trusted with work which demands concentration, expertise and meticulous execution.Training as a Dental Surgeon has helped me engage my clinical and creative skills, because it is an art and science. The institute also gave me the opportunity to enhance my soft skills by giving me a platform to explore myself outside of academics. Organizing to participating to performing to representing my college in other institutes has surely boosted my confidence.Entering Masters, paved the way for exposure to the world of Research and Conferences and Scientific Paper Presentations on State/National/International forums. My post graduation directed my inclination towards academics. Having participated in debate competitions and representing my school as the Student Editor to performing Indian Classical Dance (Kathak) on stage at the National Level, helped me perform well in conferences and win accolades.Getting the opportunity to work as a Medical Officer was enlightening in terms of working with the patients and people at ground level as well as working with data collection, interpretation and presentation. Organising camps for spreading awareness and micromanaging the details was an enriching experience.The post of Senior Medical Writer helped me enhance my writing skills, making me aware that I can research and produce on paper topics outside my field as well. It also provided a platform to hone my skills at proofreading and editing. Additionally, the post gave me exposure to handling social media accounts and writing answers on Quora.Currently, being employed as a Faculty of Dental Sciences, has taken me back to academics and students, working with young and curious minds, guiding them and inspiring them. Also the platform to conduct research and publish my work has been enthralling.I look forward to connecting with people who share my idea of "happiness".
