I coordinate the teaching of eight units in alcohol and other drug studies that can be taken as a major, a minor for psychology, criminology, health promotion and youth work students, or as individual electives. I also oversee the supervision of honours and PhD students. I have conducted research into psychotherapy, drug policy, older adults and AOD use, new psychoactive substances and psychedelics.

In 2017, I founded this organisation to reduce poor media reporting of alcohol and other drug-realted issues.

As a founding member of PRISM, I have been working with the board to coordinate and fund research into the therapeutic application of psychedelic drugs.

Operational oversight and leadership of Peninsula Health’s AOD Services, which employs 50 staff, to ensure:• High quality and timely AOD services are delivered that meet federal and state targets, and all reports to funding bodies are submitted on time;• Staff compliance with Peninsula Health’s policies, clinical practice guidelines, performance development, professional development, and mandatory training;• The AOD Services budget, which exceeds $2 million per year, is effectively managed so that services are delivered on budget;• Additional revenue raising opportunities are identified;• Actively participate in the Equip accreditation of Peninsula Health. Clinical governance of Peninsula Health’s AOD Services, including: • Chairing the weekly multidisciplinary clinical review meeting for the service;• Supervision of team leaders and senior clinical staff;• Participation in multidisciplinary in-depth case reviews following critical incidents.Contribute to the strategic development of Peninsula Health as a member of:o Peninsula Health’s AOD Consumer Advisory Group;o Peninsula Health’s Human Research Ethics Committee;Enhance the models of AOD service delivery in Victoria through participating in relevant committees and Department of Health and Human Services meetings.Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including: GP’s, mental health services, Emergency Departments and local governments.
