I am currently a board certified licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, and formerly an associate professor of clinical psychology and director of a psychological services clinic. I am formerly from the NJ/NY area having over 25 years of professional experience providing psychological services to adolescents, adults, couples and groups in a private practice setting. I am fortunate to have first relocated to the Northern Virginia area, close to the nations's capital, and now to the Virginia Beach area,continuing to work in a private practice setting offering these services.I am currently interested in Integrated Behavioral Health. Here, the scope of primary care medical practice is broadened to incorporate psychosocial services in the clinical care of patients.I have much experience in corporate consultations and employee assistance programs working with companies in the telecommunications, healthcare, nuclear energy and educational arenas.I have developed and presented numerous workshops and training in the area of stress and change management across all corporate settings including mergers and acquisitions, downsizing, and reorganizations.I am also blessed to have the opportunity to have shared my expertise and experience in training advanced Master's and Doctoral level students in their professional formation as clinical psychologists and licensed professional counselors.I have continued to explore novel solutions for the problems of obesity. Recognizing that over 90% of those who have achieved weight loss gain in back within two years, I have teamed up with a Certified Executive Chef to create a very different program for weight loss and weight maintenance. Focusing upon the merger of psychological principles and nutritional rehabilitation, visual and participative sessions generate a takeaway of practical, tangible solutions.
