Over the last 28 years I have been working as a Senior Clinical Psychologist,mentor, trainer for budding psychologists, lecturer in different colleges and universities. I can teach subjects like psychotherapy, psychodiagnostics, psychopathology, learning disabilities , children with special needs at PG levels. My teaching philosophy has always been 'Education is an essential that can be made fun" As a teacher, I follow an inclusive model of - "no learner left behind ",while also demonstrating how sound theoretical knowledge translates into practice. Therefore I love Teaching with passion and watching the transformation of students to professionals !! As a practitioner I have worked with a similar dedication to deliver successful mental health outcomes ,beyond my comfort areas, across the life span .While also sharing my knowledge and expertise with budding mental health professional through internship, training programs, supervision and workshops to propel them towards best practices adapted to the Indian setting! I have followed a scientific- practitioner model in all these years with a strong leaning towards research where I have worked on developing indigenized tools of assessment, exploring diverse aspects of mental health as an independent researcher, international collaborator on projects, and now as Phd supervisor!
