As a hydraulic engineer and hydrological modeler, I investigate advanced AI models for streamflow forecasting in hydrological systems, focusing on hydropower projects in Pakistan. Building on previous work, I refine and apply hybrid models like EEMD-RBF and ICEEMDAN-(SVR) to improve flood forecasting and hydrological modelling in the upper Indus basin and Mangla watershed. I combine AI techniques with ensemble and decomposition methods to predict streamflow and identify potential flood occurrences. My research aims to enhance the accuracy and reliability of streamflow forecasts, particularly during the flood season, to inform water resources management and disaster risk reduction in Pakistan.
