Providing governance support for people in South Australia with Huntington's disease. The organisation provides care and services for people living with the disease, as well as advocacy and education.

As an anaesthetist at Adelaide's second largest teaching hospital, I worked across all specialties except cardiac and liver transplant anaesthesia. My main interest was high risk obstetric anaesthesia, and I have been involved in the care of hundreds of critically ill mothers during my time at Flinders. I supervised a final-year trainee in the Obstetric Anaesthesia provisional fellowship, and regularly taught midwives and junior medical staff the multidisciplinary management of obstetric emergencies. I was the Department's Clinical Lead for obstetric anaesthesia. As such, I liaised with obstetricians, other specialists, midwives and theatre staff to optimise the care of the 3,500 women who deliver babies in our hospital each year.Like many senior consultants in the Department, I also have a number of management responsibilities. These include the regular coordination of all anaesthetic activities across two hospitals for the day. This involves responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of more than 20 anaesthetising locations, pre-admission and specialty clinics, pain rounds, an obstetric anaesthetic service, patient consultations and allocating staff to all of these for the following day. I am also responsible for quality and safety, audits, sundry administrative functions, teaching trainees and maintaining continuous professional development.

Calculate and distribute monthly allocations to approximately 80 anaesthetists, constituting 55 full-time equivalents. Enter into accounting software, perform monthly reconciliations against bank statements, lodge BAS statements and liaise with accountants to lodge tax returns.Before and since the death of our Department Head, I have taken on the transfer of the owner of the practice's business name, and instituted a wider review of its corporate structure, constitution, audit and tax status.

Deputy Chair 2013-2015This committee is constituted under the NH&MRC's National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and is responsible for ethics approval of all clinical research undertaken on people in the Southern region of Adelaide. Much of this is done without face-to-face contact, but also involves sub-committee meetings when required, and regular 3-weekly full committee meetings.As a Deputy Chair between 2013 and 2015, I held responsibility for chairing meetings in the Chair's absence, as well as dealing with issues arising during these periods.
