CurrentI lead the creation and application of cutting-edge photonic technologies, e.g photonic integrated circuits and quantum photonics, to solve complex challenges and create value for our clients and partners. My responsibilities include:• Building and managing a high-performing team of engineers, physicists, and project managers, who work on diverse and exciting projects in various industries• Developing and executing the strategic vision and roadmap for our specialty, aligning it with the company’s mission and goals, and ensuring its continuous improvement and growth• In line with our vision, creation of novel and secure IP for our clients by filing patents in photonics, optics, and quantum fields and leveraging these innovations to create value in their business sectors• Managing the investment portfolio and budget for this field, allocating resources efficiently and effectively, and delivering high-quality results within time and cost constraints• Engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, clients, suppliers, academia, and industry associations, to establish and maintain strong relationships, identify opportunities, and generate leads• Networking and influencing key opinion leaders (KOLs) in photonics and optics, to showcase our expertise, raise our profile, and enhance our reputation• Developing the value proposition and competitive advantage of our photonic technologies and solutions, and leading the commercial activities, such as marketing, sales, and business development, to drive revenue and profitability
