• As Acquisition Specialist, (08/2012-07/2014)- Defense Logistic Agency, Richmond, VA: (Pre-Award) performs, reviews, and routes for approval Procurement functions and activities for the pre-award process; responsible for the full range of actions required to accomplish complex procurement actions, with special emphasis and partnerships with The Boeing Company to secure the necessary parts and equipment to support DOD aviation’s needs. These actions include acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation and analysis, negotiations, and contract award; collaborates with the Planning team for demand/supply alignment issues; works with other participants to correct deficiencies, pursue programs for continuous process improvement, resolve demand planning issues, and support the forging of consensus between parties of differing interests and orientation. Serves as the Contract Specialist for a wide variety of contracts including those with complex aspects involving special handling provisions, specialized terms and conditions, unique items, and a variety of contracting methods.
