I came to sustainability as an undergraduate industrial design student, where the opportunities for innovation that it presented, totally inspired me, and set the course for my working life.After a relatively short stint as an industrial design consultant, and a bout of travel, I took on/fell into a PhD in sustainable design with Electrolux at Cranfield University, and I’ve been working in Sustainable Innovation ever since. I’ve taught thousands of undergraduate and postgrad design students to consider sustainability in all that they create, giving them the tools to make a meaningful difference.I have also consistently worked with companies and organisation to show them how to think, adapt and operate with sustainability in mind, using my experience to bridge their knowledge gaps and enable the transition. My ethos is very much around making things happen in real time, creating change through practical action.Services I provide include:- applying knowledge, expertise, and insights to your business to help you think and operate with sustainability in mind - combining qualitative and quantitative methods to analyse products / packaging to identify areas for improvement along with guidance on how to achieve these goals- innovation mapping of new ideas or products- exploring customer perceptions to drive decision-making- reviewing current business practices to identify opportunities for embedding circularity in your business model and supply chain- delivering bespoke sustainability training – lunch and learn; 1 day workshops etc.
