Dr Yu has over 35 years of senior management experience in social service, healthcare, banking, research, consulting and education. As an academician, he had held Deanship and Professorship at four Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia and Vietnam. In his pastime, Dr Yu likes to read books about Philosophy and Religion. He is the author of four books on Education Management, Oriental Management, Islamic Management and Digital Leadership.On the community front, Dr Yu was previously the Chairman of a professional football club, Tanjong Pagar United Football Club. He was also the Founding Chairman of Mayfair Neighbourhood Committee in Singapore as well as the Founding Vice Chairman of Loving Heart Multiservice Centre Jurong. His community involvement also included being a member of the School Advisory Committee for Shuqun Primary School.
