Working as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Govt. College Khimlasa, Sagar-MP. For a very short tenure, I worked as Scientist at United States Pharmacopeia, Hyderabad. Previously I was working as Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow at IISc Bangalore, India. Before that I was working with the BIOPEP peptide research group as Claude Leon Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Marina Rautenbach, Biochemistry, Stellenbosch University. Research Interests: 1. Wet chemical synthesis and structural modification of Peptides, purification by Column Chromatography and HPLC. Characterization by NMR, ESMS, CD, Fluorescence.2. Fabrication of noble metal nanoparticles on self-assembled peptide Nano-scaffolds for antimicrobial applications.3. Plausible applications of peptide-MNPs hybrids for the treatment of skin diseases especially eczema, skin burn and fungal infections. 4. Discovering the role of Watson-Crick interaction during the formation of higher order secondary structures of nucleobase functionalized peptides and their application to regulate certain biological processes.I have expertise in the operation of Atomic force microscope (AFM, learned during my Ph.D.) and scanning electron microscope (SEM, after joining BIOPEP Group) along with these two techniques I also have expertise in the operation of Circular dichroism machines and their data interpretation.
