My primary research interests are Deep Learning and biometrics. Most of my research broadly falls into Machine Learning, Data Science, computer vision and Image/Signal Processing. My current research work explores the domain of offline text-independent writer identification, a technique instrumental in determining the author of handwritten texts without specific reference samples. It analyzes intrinsic handwriting features like stroke patterns, pen pressure, slant, and spacing to create a unique signature from a writer under consideration. This method holds significance in forensic investigations, historical document analysis, and authentication, ensuring robust authorship verification regardless of content variations. The main contributions of the research work are as follows:1) Investigated modern challenges in writer identification due to evolving digital trends, leading to a focus on minimal handwritten text samples for accurate author recognition.2) Developed a novel approach centred on word image data, aiming to identify the authorship of unknown documents.3)Applied Machine Learning, Data Science, computer vision, and Image/Signal Processing techniques to analyze and process intricate handwriting patterns

Conducted research in edge-preserving image denoising techniques, culminating in the formulation of a novel algorithm based on the concept of Stochastic Resonance. Devised a unique approach involving controlled addition of external noise to iteratively preserve low-frequency image features, such as texture and edges, while effectively reducing noise. This algorithm showcased a keen ability to balance noise reduction with feature preservation, which can contribute to the field of image processing by enhancing visual quality in various applications.

Being a member of this organisation allowed me to contribute to the technical definition of the fighter aircraft's avionics system as well as design assessments of several aircraft systems, including the IFCS, avionics, and electrical components. The duties undertaken by me include: 1) Participation in critical design reviews for Aircraft systems, including Integrated Flight Control Systems and Electrical Systems, identifying potential enhancements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.2) Conducting a thorough feasibility study of Lithium-Ion batteries for the indigenous fighter aircraft TEJAS,providing essential insights into potential advancements in power systems technology.3)Conducting reliability and maintainability analyses of Electrical components within the fighter aircraft, optimizing component performance and minimizing downtime.4) Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to streamline communication and ensure efficient implementation of design improvements.

I did a seven-month course in VLSI from CDAC Pune. As a part of this course, I gained knowledge of hardware description and verification languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog along with CMOS layout design.
