• Created and implemented a risk-based inspection program for a fertilizer plant. Circuitized their piping, developed a full corrosion model, and loaded new asset strategies into their RBI software Capstone.• Facilitated corrosion modeling for a refinery’s Sulfur Recovery Unit, Utilities Plant and Off-Plot piping.• Analyzed Condition Monitoring Locations (CMLs) readings for evidence of corrosion on process piping, placed new CML locations based on corrosion model for hundreds of piping circuits.

• Designed and managed water/wastewater projects involving evaluation and rehabilitation of the City of Beaumont’s sanitary sewer system (pipebursting, manhole rehabilitation, overflow reduction, infiltration reduction)• Analyze data from smoke testing done on sewer lines to help troubleshoot customer/city issues with the sewer system.• During Hurricane Harvey, was part of first response team to help restore water to the City. Part of successful efforts to restore flooded pumping station and set up temporary pumping.

• Led a team of three students in research regarding torrefaction of sewage sludge and other biomass.• Taught underclassmen on how to operate laboratory instruments such as calorimeters and furnaces.

• Performed numerous lab, bench and pilot scale experiments torrefying different types of biomass• Ran analytical tests on torrefied biomass such as calorimetry, elemental analysis, moisture, ash, and volatile matter content determination.• Used Gas Chromatography to analyze CO, CO2, O2, N2, H2, and CH4 concentrations produced from torrefaction runs.• Ran tar sampling experiments on a gasifier converting woodchips to Syngas.• Performed lab scale experiments on a reactor to collect condensates produced from torrefaction of biomass at different residence times and temperatures.• Ran experiments with sifted biomass to study relationship between particle size and mass reduction after undergoing torrefaction.
