Doctoral Fellow Stage. I researched and wrote international scientific reports on the thesis project: Molecular and functional analysis of telomere-associated sequences of Toxoplasma gondii. We redefined the subtelomeric (STs) genomic regions in T. gondii and contributed to research in the field of molecular parasitology and epigenetics. This training allowed me to get started in project management because it required interaction with an advisor, collaborators and fellows, vendors, countables, academic tutors and judges. It also required developing effective presentations to groups, explaining complex ideas in a simple way, and debating experiences and results. I have had to write reports, produce well-constructed essays, write in English, present and communicate scientific results, publish articles, present conference posters in meetings, and participate in a research grant application for a three-month summer course in EE.UU. This background has provided me with critical thinking skills; complex problem solving; ability to manipulate data, metrics and results; writing and reporting up experiments; literature searches and reviews; judgment and decision making. This training has provided me with strong technical expertise in molecular biology, parasitology, microbiology, genetic engineering, genomics and biotechnology.

I participated in a volunteer project of the non-profit organization: Un Techo para mi País (A Roof for my Country). As a volunteer, I participated in two housing constructions to improve the habitat conditions of low-income people in peripheral neighborhoods of the province of Buenos Aires, in joint action between residents and other young volunteers.

I researched and contributed to an international scientific report with the undergraduate thesis project: Expression analysis of plant heat shock protein 90 and serine proteinase Kazal-type inhibitor during infection with the fungus Botrytis cinerea. In this training, I learned how to set goals, organize and plan a project from the beginning to the successful completion, and how to manage the time of study work. This training provided strong technical expertise in genetics and protein expression, data manipulation and statistics analysis, reliable field work and data collection, database and scientific softwares management skills, writing and public presentation skills, responsibility and attention to detail.
