I am a general adult medicine physician in Northern California. In addition to my clinical duties, I also direct our MAT program and Digital Medicine program.I have spent over 15 years in the healthcare system in a variety of positions such as an EMT, nursing assistant, medical student, resident, and physician. I was an orthopedic surgery resident at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN focusing on the surgical treatment of hand disorders until Jan, 2013. I became discouraged by the status quo of the healthcare system and was not satisfied with, "that's just the way it is". The system is incredibly broken and I left a prestigious opportunity in hopes of changing something more foundational for the better. After years of research, my startup digital health company, QwikLife, was born and has evolved through the years finding ways to optimize the system.My outside interests include modern architectural design, education, the outdoors, and new experiences. I gravitate toward people who are not satisfied with the way things are and are willing to put in the effort to make reality better.
