In today's dynamic landscape, the imperative is to design adaptable infrastructure and intelligent support for AI systems, meeting the diverse needs of all stakeholders across industries. This commitment is rooted in the essence of Ambient Intelligence (AmI), reflecting the importance of realizing a context-aware AI that seamlessly aligns with the evolving demands of contemporary ecosystems. Within this framework, my interest lies in enabling the timely and ethical utilization of services, with a keen emphasis on minimizing effort, time, cost, and digital pollution, thus realizing a sustainable AI for sustainable ecosystems.I am the co-founder and CTO of NeoPhyte (https://neophyte.ai/), an Ambient Intelligence startup operating out of Navi Mumbai, India. NeoPhyte is bridging the reality gap between the information and physical layers for retail, e-commerce and supply chains using Visual AI and Ambient Intelligence. Our proprietary platform, AmIware, provides ground visibility, compliance monitoring and decision support intelligence for Customer Experience Enhancement, Visual Merchandising Automation with A/B testing, and Replenishment Intelligence to our customers.Previously, I worked with JIO AI Center of Excellence, Hyderabad, in Computer Vision Group, designing innovative and scalable solutions to various real-life problems related to security, surveillance, video analytics, retail, and biometric-based personal recognition systems. Notable achievements include the development of a (1) Human-less Checkout System for retail stores utilizing RGBD cameras, (2) the creation of video understanding and summarizing frameworks for applications in surveillance, sports, and retail shrinkage, and (3) the implementation of 3D vision with 4D convolutions within multi-modal and multi-task learning frameworks.During my doctoral studies, my research focused on introducing innovative design methodologies for integrating Biometric technologies into Ambient Intelligence. This pioneering investigation marked the first of its kind in the literature, concentrating on the usability and interoperability of multi-modal biometric signals (face, fingerprint, iris, voice, gait, and other soft biometrics) in conjunction with the Internet of Things (IoT). The primary objective was to enhance users' Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) experience within smart environments such as homes, offices, border control, and smart cities.I also actively deliver talks at esteemed research institutes, MDPs, research tracks, and national and international research events and conferences.

Retail Checkout Automation: Developed innovative frameworks for 3D point clouds registration and RGBD- based deep net architecture for classifying retail products (with volumes) for an automated and highly accurate self-checkout system for Reliance retail stores. -Ideated and designed data (RGBD sequence) acquisition, experimental setup, and deployment scenarios -Novel methods for 3D point cloud registration, mesh creation, and generation of synthetic high-quality images -Novel deep net architecture using (4D convolutions) for multi-task and multi-label classification systems 2. Universal Face Detector: Developed a novel and unified architecture for fast and robust combined face detection and attribute extraction system. The envisioned framework is designed for robust(for profile faces), fast (approx. 20ms), and accurate face-based systems. -Created a data annotation pipeline for generating 1M labelled faces for training multi-task learning frameworks -Novel CNN architecture based on single-shot learning for face detection and facial attributes extraction -Simultaneous detection of the bounding box, shape, facial landmarks, age, gender, and emotion from each face.3.
