I am the R&D Innovation Lead for the Northern Europe (NE) Business Unit at Haleon Consumer Healthcare (ex-GSK), based in London, UK. I am a member of the NE R&D leadership team, responsible for creating and delivering the innovation pipeline for the business unit to meet company growth targets. I serve a range of product categories across the healthcare industry (pain, wellness, respiratory, smoking cessation) and enjoy the opportunity to work as part of a global, multi-functional team involving medical affairs, regulatory, marketing, and product supply.Since joining GSK/Haleon in 2020 I have developed a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including end-to-end drug/device product development, medical regulation, clinical trials, and patient safety. I have developed experience in leveraging agile/lean methods applied to healthcare, and I have successfully identified new healthcare innovations resulting in intellectual property for the business.Prior to joining Haleon I was an R&D manager at Procter & Gamble for nearly 11 years, delivering new product innovations in the areas of enzyme biotechnology, polymer chemistry and dye chemistry for a range of global brands. I hold a PhD in chemistry/biology from Durham University, as well as a 1st class chemistry degree, also from Durham University.
