I am a IT Manager, Scrum Master and Sys Ops Coordinator with experience in a multitude of fields and technologies. Every position is different but the common factor is that everyone wants to bridge the communication gap between development and leadership. This is where I excel. My years spent as a developer allow me to understand the technical aspects of a project and I have the ability to articulate them clearly to non technical resources. I am skilled at creating dashboards and reports with useful visualizations to help decision makers understand a project status in real time.As a manager I hired and trained three teams consisting of both US and India based members. For two teams, I implemented scrum processes from the ground up for our dev ops teams including such crucial ceremonies as the sprint planning, daily standup, sprint review, sprint retrospectives.I worked with the Product teams to institute Release planning and quarterly planning sessions, a release retrospective and forming an eighteen month roadmap.The third team I set up was the Sys Ops Kanban team. This is a team that worked with our customer facing support center where user reported issues were triaged and fixed. I set up a 24 Hour support rotation to handle after hours emergencies and trained everyone on best practices.For all these roles I pull from my 15 years of experience as a developer. I have worked with Java, Python, Javascript, PL/Sql and VB and I use that experience to help coach my staff. Of all the roles I've had, I like being a manager the most because I get to coach developers on their career the way others have helped me.
