The practice generates significant revenue and is one of the highest in the country for consuming dental implant prosthetic componentry.As the Director, I oversee the running of the business and as a Specialist Prosthodontist, I work in collaboration with other specialists including endodontics and periodontics to provide quality care across diverse prosthodontic presentations including trauma, medically compromised and maxillofacial rehabilitation patients.

I served as an academic in the Prosthodontics discipline at Queensland University, instructing students across various academic years. My responsibilities involved teaching conventional fixed prosthodontics and dental implantology. Additionally, I held the role of Phase Three coordinator, overseeing clinical placements and course coordination for fifth-year undergraduate students. This involved supervising students and managing complex cases with dental complications. Notable Achievements• Improved the students’ learning experience and developed the foundation in clinical placements program by building a string of relationships within QLD health services up to Far North Queensland. • Successfully managed complex stakeholders such as QLD Health during student clinical placement and during the COVID-19 period by developing fit-for-purpose strategies to overcome significant hurdles.• Successfully ran student placements with very high student experience survey results and retention.• Secured University funding for postgraduate research.

Furthermore, I tutored students in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontic simulation clinics, patient clinics and dental technical laboratories.Notable Achievements• Acting Discipline Lead for Dentistry between September and November 2017 and for the Oral Health Discipline during 2016, working with the academic team and leading the program in the Discipline Lead’s absence. This included addressing student and staff concerns and reporting to the Head of School and establishing discussion channels with the Dean to overcome issues presented within the discipline.• As a member of the Teaching and Learning Committee, collaborated closely with the Course Director and the Head of School to ensure that the course outline, learning outcomes and assessment criteria aligned with university standards and complied with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and met accreditation requirements.
