I have teaching experience extending from Bachelor to MBA/DBA and, even, PhD level in a regular universities providing degrees. I have also been coaching and training staff in organizations from junior to C levels.Having been a CEO, my expertise is in Strategic Management, Business Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Management. I have also taught Managing Change, International Strategy and Policy, International Cooperation on Sustainability, International Business Negotiations, Consultation and Strategic HR. Since my degree is in Economics, I also taught Business Economics and Economics of Development. The other subjects taught by me are Organization Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic marketing, Marketing Management, Research Methods, Academic Writing and Performance Management. My current research interests are destination image management, tourism and development issues in Indonesia as well as on consumer behavior and purchase intentions.

The School of Business, President University (SOBPU) has 65+ faculty and 2100+ students under three study programs - Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Management and Bachelor of Accounting. The focus of efforts has been to become a world class B-School with focus on creating future business leaders with entrepreneurship skills and global mindset. After my joining, SOBPU has become member of AACSB and about to file Eligibility application. SOBPU has also become member of Babson College, Boston led STEP or Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices. Apart from raising the teaching and research output (more Scopus publications), SOBPU has launched Executive Development Programs (EDP) and international journals and had a successful international conference on Family Business and Entrepreneurship in 2017 with plans to repeat in 2018 as well as launch another international conference on Tourism.

I was invited to teach Business Leadership course in Vietnam Maritime University (Vimaru) in Hai Phong recommended by Prof Torben Jessen from Denmark. I taught full credit Business Leadership to three batches of students. The case studies included modern day business and political leaders such as Steve Jobs, Indira Nooyi, Jack Ma, Ho Chi Minh, Donald Trump, Narendra Modi among others. It was a pleasant surprise. I found Vietnam students smarter and practical compared to my Malaysian, Thai and Indonesian students.

I have been teaching the subject Growth and Development Economics. Earlier, I conducted workshop on Econometric research.

I was attached to College of Business (COB) and then Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB). My expertise is in Strategic Management and Innovation. But I also teach Organization Change, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Management Change and Business Consultation at MBA and DBA level. Currently, I am also focusing on Sustainability Management.I was also posted as Director, Executive Development Programs in 2011, a position I held till July, 2014 and posted a profit of over two hundred thousand RM profit for the school. I was also a Chairman of Committee on a university run company and member of Advisory Council of an Institute.My research interests is primarily in case writing, where I am working over 100 Malaysian companies with my students. I am currently supervising about 14 PhD and DBA students on wide range of management topics. In addition, I am:1. Member FRGS (Fundamental Research Grant, Malaysia) – An integrated customer centric framework to study intentions to use Islamic banking products in Malaysia.2. Member ERGS (Exploratory Research Grant, Malaysia) – Exploring governance framework for optimum performance of GTP, Malaysia.3. Head, VRGS (Visiting Research Grant, UUM) – Training needs analysis of Malaysian companies – case studies.4. Head, CRGS (Case Study Research Grant, UUM) – Tenaga Nasional Berhad – SOP vs Corporate Social Responsibility.

The assignment was to create Akruti City University with a promise to be the first Vice Chancellor. Akruti Group provided 63 acres of land in Sanand near Ahmedabad. My task was to get permission from Gujarat Govt and start programs with a small team. Had various interactions with Gujarat Govt and permission was obtained. Left for Malaysia to be in a proper educational set up in University of North Malaysia.

A 30% growth company mainly in IT enabled Education catering to Education for All in US and Elearning in UK, which clocked a turnover of 145 million USD in 2008-09. Part of senior team to build the India story. Currently, creating offline and online econtent (CBT, ILT and blended learning) for various vocational and teachers training courses.

The IOL Netcom Ltd was earlier called IOL Broadband Ltd. As Executive Director, I was involved in launching IPTV for the first time commercially with MTNL on 14th August 2007 in Mumbai, which followed the initial launch with 24 channels on 14th October 2006. He introduced the concept of using IPTV for eLearning in a major way.

Reporting to Geir Ericsson, build the basic staff in India and introduced the Teleste name and Fiber Optic broadband products to the Broadband industry in India (MSOs and Cable Operators).

Zee group planned a 825 million USD plan for connecting the various Multimedia Hubs through Optical Fibers and introduce Value Added Services on the broadband network. Got International Technical Assessment done successfully, which got the first tranche of funding from various sources, as well as was able to coordinate project execution plan at 8 metro and major cities.

REL was earlier BSES Ltd. I set up the subsidiary BSES Telecom Ltd, a company in IT and Telecom Services. I was the first CEO. I successfully tied up with Vodafone, Gilat and Mastek (in their relevant avtars at that time). The company later launched a popular product Powersurfer. The company was bought by Reliance and merged into one of its subsidiaries.

Hinduja Group set up a broadband company by name Indusind Media, an MSO on Cable Operations. I was instrumental along with senior team members like Hingorani, Jagjit Singh and Shah in laying of 850 Km of Cable in complex Mumbai metro and connecting Cable Operators.

Reported to Arun Arora and VG Jindal at Modernization Dept and modernized Reference Dept having published material from 1853 till recent to a digital archive. Developed a Text Retrieval System from scratch on similar specs as TOPIC involving 4.5 million lines of code. Achievements published in a book on Database Production (McGraw Hill, 1993).

As Head of Systems Integration, I gave Sales Support for complex and integrated applications and ported complex applications like Pre ERP application MCBA with 4.5 million lines of code.

As EDP Manger developed software for managing complex presciption system, when the company was called Grindwell Norton Ltd.

Worked as Team Leader and was part of Application Development Group. Worked on Decision Support Systems.

I was part of Social Systems Group responsible for field work in connection with Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE) conducted for the first time in the world by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), India with the help of GTS-F satellite contributed with NASA. My job was to work with communities. I received Distinguished Achievement Award and was made member of Expert Panel on socio-economic exploitation along with luminaries in social work arena.
