Started as a part-time intern while finishing the Technical Writer program at Algonquin, originally an 8-month internship, I accepted a four-month extension in August. I worked in the InfoDev team alongside other technical writers and engineers to write and edit technical documentation primarily in Ixiasoft’s DITA-CCMS. While part-time, I ensured that the metadata in major VxWorks 7 releases was correct and generated and published PDFs of the XML. Later, I was part of a small team working to take Wind River Cloud Platform documents in DITA and convert them into reStructruedText (RST) that complied with StarlingX style guidelines. To accomplish this conversion, I extensively used Git, Gerrit, and BitBucket to collaboratively and independently work on hundreds of files and manage any conflicts that arose.
