I was put in charge of most office and classroom upkeep as well as being named project manager for things such as reorganizing the geology lab and removing outdated instruments and trash from the attic. Duties also included data entry, supervision, creating work schedules and product comparisons, working with hazardous chemicals and conducting monthly eyewash, emergency shower and fire extinguisher checks.

As an intern I created guides on how to operate the Innovation Rover as well as how to navigate through mobile applications that connect to sensors on the rover. As someone who can operate and navigate the rover efficiently, I have taught faculty how to use the rover and sat in their class reservations to oversee that there are no problems.

As an assistant park ranger, I produced an oral history questionnaire and interviewed people of the local community in order to collect oral histories of the Hickory Nut Gorge that may have been lost otherwise. I was chosen for this role because I myself am a native of the Hickory Nut Gorge.I also spent time assisting in land management, invasive species management, trail maintenance and facilities maintenance/construction.

This was a seasonal position that allowed me to gain skills and network between semesters at Brevard College. I helped with the completion of a wide variety of projects from clearing land, building retaining walls, environmental clean-up and brush burning for Henderson County apple farmers.

I assisted with diagnostics, maintenance and repair of anything with a motor from a weed eater to a diesel tractor for landowners, car dealerships, construction companies, graders, mechanic shops and farmers. Work varied from electrical problems in sky lifts to breaking and clutching tractors.

This was a summer occupation that allowed me to learn new skills between my semesters at Brevard College. During this time I assisted with remodels and the completion of a log cabin.

During winter while my father and I weren't busy farming we gathered, cut, split and delivered firewood through news paper ads, word of mouth and to restaurants with brick ovens. I'll take a splitting maul over a hydraulic splitter any day.

2018-2019 I had ownership of the Growater Farm. During that year I qualified for agricultural tax exemptions based upon the dollar amount of how much I made off of produce. After a year of farming while also being a full-time student at Brevard College I decided it was best for me to focus on my education. I moved away from the farm in 2019 and I've grown in a thousand other ways since. However, this childhood opportunity has given me a solid foundation.Planted, cultivated, harvested, marketed and delivered a wide variety of vegetables year round for local restaurants, co-ops and tailgate markets. With an intense focus on providing our mountain community with fresh, local, beautiful and great tasting produce within 24-48 hours of its harvest. All of our produce was grown in the mineral rich loamy clays of the majestic and peaceful Sugarloaf Mountain. Located in Henderson County, NC amidst Apple Country and right next to Chimney Rock State Park.

Washed dishes and helped the chefs and owners with miscellaneous tasks around the restaurant. This job was also offered to me by the owners who I was presently selling produce to. Due to this relationship with the employer I was also able to provide a friend who worked on my farm occasionally with a job there as a Host/Security.

I was offered this position by the owners who were buying my produce at the time. I washed dishes for high end breakfasts, brunches, lunches, dinners and special events such as holidays and weddings. Eventually, I was moved to waiting tables due to my background knowledge of the produce being served as well as my communication skills which were gained from marketing/selling produce. During my time here I provided the employer with five other employees who were friends that had a hand in growing the produce that we were selling them.
