CurrentMarket exploration on the use of liquid desiccant solutions, such as aqueous solutions of lithium chloride and calcium chloride, as absorption thermal batteries. Desiccant solutions have the potential to recover ultra-low grade heat sources that would otherwise be wasted, store energy into a concentrated solution and transport it elsewhere so that the energy stored in thermo-chemical form can be exploited for temperature and humidity control processes (dehumidification, cooling, space heating and humidification). By using desiccant solutions, thermal energy can be stored in thermo-chemical form within the concentration variation between the diluted and the concentrated desiccant solution.Looking forward to connecting with people who are interested in heat recovery, humidity control, humidity removal, manufacturing industry and residential and commercial buildings to discuss how our technology could reduce energy consumption whilst providing optimal temperature and humidity control.
