For over fifteen years, I have specialized in the delivery of assessment and treatment interventions that address the needs of people who are involved with the criminal justice system. I am exceptionally adept at working with justice-involved youth and addressing resistance or other psychological barriers to treatment that people may experience when participating in mandated treatment.In addition, I am a native Spanish-speaker with advanced/professional-level reading, writing and speaking fluency and experience delivering Bilingual (Spanish/English) mental health services. I am knowledgeable of the unique cultural and mental health issues concerning Latinx and Spanish-speaking individuals and families, especially as it pertains to immigrant populations.Having myself faced many obstacles in the pursuit of my professional goals, including history of undocumented status and a long-time undiagnosed autoimmune disease, I am a strong advocate for health, justice and public policy reforms.
