I'm Dr. Amanda Kemp, executive producer of the Mother Tree Network Podcast and Amazon Best-Selling Author. A college professor, curriculum developer, podcaster, and mindfulness mentor, I founded Racial Justice from the Heart in 2015.In 2021 after almost four decades of racial justice work, I had a spiritual awakening. I was tired, overwhelmed and close to tears much of the time, but I did not know how to stop. Finally, in meditation I learned that the trees in my yard wanted to adopt me, and that started my journey of listening and talking with earth mama. Tentatively and awkwardly, I began to focus gratitude and building relationships with the natural world. Flooded with their love and compassion, I began to shift from saving people and our earth [Old Paradigm] to accepting that I am already free and serving as an energetic tuning fork for all those who are tired of endless struggle and divisiveness and ready to attune to a New Earth [New Paradigm]. I received the name Aminata Sol Plant Walker Fire Woman and launched the Mother Tree Network podcast in 2022.Now I help women leaders in the DEI space to connect with earth wisdom and listen to their inner Wise Woman. We provide space for you to rest, release, and root into your Higher Consciousness. It's okay to question the conventional wisdom about systemic oppression and learn to trust your body's guidance and truth. Evolution of self and the collective requires rest, pauses, and guidance from our more than human kin.You will now find me leading micro-retreats, land-based gatherings, and podcast conversations about loving kindness, plant intelligence, and Prior to my current work, I taught at Cornell University, Dickinson College, and Franklin & Marshall College where I served as the chair of Africana Studies. In 2008 I founded Theater for Transformation to create performances that incorporated spirituality and ritual, history and song in an effort to transform people and communities. Writing plays, producing, and directing, I continue to toggle between education, healing, and artistic expression. You can find my evolving medicine as poetry, songs, and other recordings at www.amandakemp.bandcamp.comKeynote speeches and residencies: Stanford University, Haverford College, Hamilton College, University of California at Irvine, University of Pennsylvania, Neuman University, Cambridge Friends School, Lancaster Mennoite School, Unity Worldwide Ministries, many Quaker regional, national and international groups.
