CurrentSenior Geologist/Hydrologist in Delaware's Source Water Assessment and Protection Program. Evaluates and reports on the vulnerability of drinking water sources and their susceptibility to contamination from natural and anthropogenic sources. Investigtes local and regional issues related to groundwater contamination referred to the Department through the public and other state/Federal agencies. Manages and updates program databases and program datasets and processes Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests made on them. Oversees projects contracted by the Source Water Program that aid in the understanding of Delaware's water quality and quantity. Assists counties and municipalities in the development of drinking water protection ordinances. Coordinates with programs internal to DNREC and external agencies in managing water resources with respect to water quality and quantity. Reviews well permit applications with respect to potential contamination issues. Assists Water Allocations Branch with technical review of water withdrawal (appropriations) permits for public water suppliers. Serves as the chairperson of the Delaware Road Salt Contamination Working Group, Chair to the Delaware Source Water Protection Citizen and Technical Advisory Committee, Member - Association of State Drinking Water Associations (ASDWA) Source Water Protection Committee, Member- Delaware Avian Influenza Response Preparedness Team, and DNREC Ground-Water Protection Branch representative to the USDA NRCS Delaware State Technical Committee.Career Ladder ProgressionHydrologist IV: August 2006 - PresentHydrologist III: June 2002 - August 2006Hydrologist II: March 1999 - June 2002
