Dr Muhammed Amirul Asyraf Bin Hasnan, is currently work as Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai Johor. He holds a PhD (Doctor of Engineering in Marine Transportation and Environmental System) from Hiroshima University, Japan, Master of Science (MSc) in Ship and Offshore Engineering (UTM) and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering–Marine Technology (UTM). He is also a member of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) USA, member of Japan Society Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (JASNAOE) and associate member of Royal Institution Naval Architects (RINA) UK. Currently, the research works are on the study of ship maneuvering motion in calm water, regular waves and irregular waves of small boat and large ship. Previously before joined lecturing field in UTM, Dr Amirul has served as Coordinator in the Project Procurement Management and Strategic Sourcing department under Supply Chain Management division in Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn. Bhd., and has sound experience in the procurement coordination and tender works activities that related to Oil & Gas project and yards. Married, with one lovely wife and 4 children.
