Hi, I'm Amit.As you must have already seen my formal profile, let me tell you the other side of my personality."I am an entrepreneur by choice, MBA by design and an engineer by default" :)Lemme Explain-An engineer by default- my extended family has more than 15 engineers, so by default, my first degree was decided even before I was born.An MBA by design- It is the design of God that I did my MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, otherwise, I cleared FMS Delhi twice earlier and was not able to join it before joining IIM A. Why? it is a long story for some other day.An entrepreneur by choice- Because in 2016, I made a choice which changed the course of my life and which was to quit my high-paying job at Yes Bank and chose the path of which I call 3F (Freedom, Financial, Fulfilment) through digital entrepreneurship and what a journey it has been till now!But I am not a typical IIM & IIT success story. It has been a story full of failures and some successes. It has struggles of all types- personal, financial, health, and relationships. A long story for some other time. (Partly covered in a business magazines story below)I have the unique experience of doing a 2-year MBA from IIM Ahmedabad after having 9 years of work experience and that too with a wife and a 3-year-old kid on campus! The unconventional route taken by me has been covered widely in the media. Based on my unique insights, I authored a book called - The Black Book- The untold story of IIMs that nobody has ever told you- a book that helps MBA aspirants to make informed life and career decisions. It is a result of my observations and reflections on many issues faced by MBA aspirants and students who finally join a B-school. You can find a lot of websites and blogs discussing ‘how to enter a great B-School’, but nobody talks about the life inside, that is, ‘how is one supposed to make a great career once he/she is inside the campus’.
