I am passionate about sustainable and dynamic ecological systems approaches to educational opportunities. In addition to my role as SVP and Chief Education Officer at WITF, Inc., I serve as a multilingual education consultant to the Pennsylvania Department of Education and am a Teaching with Primary Sources Instructional Coach with the United States Library of Congress. I design and instruct professional learning courses for educators and administrators on topics such as educational linguistics, equitable access, closing opportunity gaps, language pedagogies, differentiated instruction and assessment, ELD curriculum, LIEP design, culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogy, historical and digital literacy, social justice education, and educational civil rights laws and compliance. I have been in academia since 2009, and continue to teach in the graduate TESOL program at Arcadia University. My research interests center on teachers’ experiences with learning about and leveraging their own and their students’ cultural frames of references to enact inquiry-based culturally responsive teaching as well as leveraging community assets to elevate rich learning opportunities in lifelong and lifewide ways.Robert G.
