As the Head of Software and Technology at Nilfisk, I am responsible for leading the company's approach to software development, and ensure we continue to build our fundamental technology from cleaning through to full autonomy. With a global focus, I work closely with great teams to develop and implement innovative software solutions that deliver value to our customers

Mobotech design & manufacture mobile robots (Mobots) that improve productivity, efficiency and safety in Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industries.

AGCL was formed around my activities working with range of businesses from start-ups to large mature companies. Notably:AMS (Vector), a large business responsible for the ownership and management of electricity and gas meters to more than 1,100,000 homes and businesses across New Zealand, as well as the provision of energy data management services to electricity users. I’m currently working with AMS to discover new opportunities both locally and abroad going from idea through to deployment as we continue to build a robust business case and leverage the existing knowledge base.Sensagrid, start-up and creators of a very fast responding electrical micro-grid enabling demand response, renewable energy utilization, electric vehicle deployment and asset spend deferral. I worked with the team to flesh out the early business plan and technology. The company was recognised towards the end of this period as a NZ HiTech awards finalist.

The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s top university and maintains a high world ranking. I had a part-time role here to engage in the lecturing and examination of two papers, real time software engineering and industrial automation.

Crown is a top tier forklift OEM employing 9000 staff with headquarters in the US. My role reported into the US and broadly covered global research projects while sharing with one other person, day-to-day running of a team of engineers based in Auckland, NZ. I worked with Executives, Directors and customers to set the company’s technology direction.

INRO created an industry-changing approach to warehouse automation. We retrofitted forklift vehicles and developed technology to deliver solutions that were flexible and able to operate without modification to the warehouse. As a founder my role evolved as the company grew, gaining more breadth and responsibility. I initially focused on implementation of software and hardware to a more strategic and leadership role. I worked with and learned from some very high caliber people both locally and the US while growing INRO quickly to realize its potential.
