Wisconsin-based psychiatrist Andrew Kessler, M.D. received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, a school noted for its socially conscious faculty, curriculum, and student population. Honored with a medical student research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, Andrew Kessler went on to complete an internship in psychiatry and a residency in psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. Pursuing further post-graduate work at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Andrew Kessler completed a two-year fellowship in child adolescent psychiatry. During this period, Andrew Kessler created a group psychotherapy program for adolescents diagnosed with social phobia. Additionally, Andrew Kessler is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Andrew Kessler served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for over a decade. Conducting important research as both a resident and professor, Andrew Kessler has published and presented papers in medical journals and conferences. Passionately committed to community service as well as medicine, Andrew Kessler has served for almost 20 years as a psychiatrist in various public health settings in Wisconsin. Andrew Kessler has extensive experience diagnosing and managing serious disorders and mental illness in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Andrew Kessler maintains his dedication to public medicine in his current role as staff psychiatrist at the Wisconsin Resource Center. Serving about 100 persons with psychological issues at the Center, Andrew Kessler provides compassionate and expert evaluation and treatment. Andrew Kessler also volunteers as a child psychiatrist at a free clinic in Madison, Wisconsin.
