Eighteen years back, a young man came to the educational capital of Maharashtra, Pune, for his masters in dentistry, not realising that he would come to love the city and make it his future home. Dr Ankit Khanna is a pioneer in his field and has always wanted to make dentistry a pleasant and pain-free experience. To achieve this, he has been using the latest advancements such as lasers, digital xray, rotary endodontics, minimally invasive surgical procedures, etc. In today's fast paced work, his skill, speed and efficiency, to provide pain free treatment, are something his patients vouch for. Having an experience of 18 years in the field, he has treated several people attain optimal dental health, not only from the city, but from all over the world. Together with his wife, Dr Ruchira Khanna, who is M.D.S Prosthodontics, they make a formidable team, and their combination has proven very efficient in giving patients a scientific and holistic treatment as they both come from a generations of medical background. The advantage of these two specialists working in coalition is seen in their prompt diagnosis, treatment planning and execution.Dr Khanna always believed oral health is mirror to general health, one can diagnose many medical issues seeing the oral health of an individual for example diabetes etc, therefore Dr Khanna want the society to be more aware of their dental health which has been neglected in India . Dr Khanna has always kept the general population of India in mind and constantly thinking about how to broaden the purpose of their practice, in his projects. 2 years back he came up with a project called BATTISI DENTAL CARE,  it has 2 branches now in city, Kondhwa and Koregaon Park, where affordable dental treatment is provided to public.. In their own words, "We treat a person. Our objective is to improve the oral health of every person who approaches us, in such a way that they are not only able to sustain it, but also maintain it. We try to educate and encourage our patients to imbibe healthy oral habits, which will lead to better quality of life and general health." They are also coming up with an exciting new project where innovation and best global practises, are the backbone, which is desperately needed in these pandemic times. Very soon, this revolutionary project, will make dentistry more approachable for a larger population all over the country. It is their dream to reach out and provide their services to larger population and the culmination of that will soon be a reality with all your blessings.
